Happy Graduation

Most of the graduation scrappy supplies you find in stores is decidedly monochromatic.  Blacks, whites and all the grey in between.  For my layout of pics from my cousin's college grad party, I decided to add pops of color with flowers in her school's shade of green.  They fit in perfectly with all the fun blingy swirls.  And they fit perfectly with the theme for this week's challenge at Shopping Our Stash: May Flowers!  I had to dig waaaaay down deep into my stash for those swirls...I kind of hoard them LOL.  The flowers were a hard find too, which reminds me....I need to reorganize my flowers because you can't find anything in the sea of pinks:)

The paper is pretty much from all different lines, but had the same distressed look except for the striped piece on the right.  But with a little black ink and the trusty sand paper scraped across the front and it fits right in!

Photo holder

This week at Paper Hoarders we are working on Mother's Day themed goodies.  Scrapbook pages, cards, altered items, gifts, if it's made with paper...it's groovy!  I decided to make a photo holder.  It's made from an office clip and gussied up with scrappy paper, flowers, letter stickers and twine.  Click on over to Tanya's blog to see what the rest of the ladies came up with :)
