Sketches! {by tamara} BINGO

I saw the challenge over at Sketches!{by tamara} and I almost wrote it off. I can usually combine 2-3 challenges in a single creation with a little effort. I find a color combo, a theme and a sketch and put them all together. Well, this week they decided to play scrapbooking BINGO. There is a 'bingo card' posted with 25 (5x5) squares and you have to find a row of challenges and follow them. I decided on the second row across and sat down to work. I needed to incorporate the following: a circle, journaling strips, buttons, inking, and chipboard.

The paper I picked up my DCWV Nana's Kids paper stack and found a few papers to start. I actually created a 2pg layout, but only the first one followed the challenge. I got off to a good start trying to double up and do a different row on the second layout, but couldn't manage it. :)

The top layout includes:
  • a circle - the dotted paper plus the title and journaling are inside of circles
  • journaling strips - this layout is for my son's album and I journaled four of his favorite things when he was three years old.
  • buttons - I used a shaped button (it's a lion) as the center of the flower. I just snipped off the big old circle loop in the back.
  • inking - I inked the edge of both patterned papers I layed over the base patterned paper.
  • chipboard - the flower.
